Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research, and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara and Programme Coordination Office in Lalitpur. LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local initiatives for sustainable management of renewable natural resources and improving the livelihoods of rural people in Nepal.




Assessing Climate and Disaster Risk Mapping, Profiling and Preparation of Local Disaster and Climate Resilient Plan (LDCRP) for Krishnapur Municipality in Kanchanpur District of Sudurpaschim Province

LI-BIRD is implementing a project entitled ‘Strengthening Capacity of Smallholder Farmers for Resilient Livelihoods (SAKSHAM)’, funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland through FELM Nepal, in Kanchanpur and Doti districts of Sudurpaschim province. The overall goal of the project is to improve livelihoods and well-being of marginal and climate vulnerable families in Kanchanpur and Doti districts through building economic and climate resilience. As a part of creating enabling environment and supporting local governments, LI-BIRD has a plan to conduct Participatory Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (CVCA) and develop climate and disaster risks profile including preparation of LDCRP and mainstream it in local level purposes for Krishnapur municipality of Kanchanpur District.

LI-BIRD requests to submit a sealed proposal from a qualified Firms or Expert for conducting the assessment in Krishnapur municipality of Kanchanpur district. Proposal must be written in English language. Proposal received after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation. Proposal that does not meet the requirements will be rejected. Proposal that meets the requirements and offer the best value for money will be selected.

LI-BIRD reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals, and to cancel the procurement process and reject all the proposals at any time prior to awarding the contract without obligation to inform the bidder(s).
