Request Technical and Financial Proposal for Facilitate Local Governments to develop economic recovery package to address short- and medium-term impact due to COVID-19 pandemic including provision of stimulus package and food security through climate change adaptation technologies dissemination for (PERCA) Project.

1) Introduction of ADRA: The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian organization with a mission to work with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change. ADRA Nepal belongs to the worldwide ADRA network, comprised of 118 supporting and implementing country offices. ADRA’s five core sectors include Food Security; Health; Economic Growth; Education; and Emergency Management. ADRA Nepal has developed its expertise in these sectors and in various subsectors, specifically in agricultural development, economic development, livelihood, infrastructure development, scholarship program, humanitarian response, urban-DRR, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), infant young and maternal & child health and nutrition, gender equality and social inclusion and RH.

ADRA has been active in Nepal since 1987 and worked extensively in health focusing on health system & infrastructure strengthening, communicable and non-communicable disease, sexual reproductive health (SRH) and family planning, maternal new-born and child health, emergency relief and responses in earthquake, flood and most recently COVID-19 pandemic.

2)  Brief Note on Project

Promoting Economic Resilience of COVID-19 Affected Vulnerable People (PERCAV) is aligned with official guiding documents from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australian Government as well as Government of Nepal. The interventions designed contribute to reduce the inequalities and economic hardships faced by most vulnerable population majorly women and PWD of 440 HHs from Swargadwari Municipality and Mandavi RM of Pyuthan and Runtigadhi RM and Sunilsmriti RM of Rolpa which has been exacerbated in the present context of COVID-19 pandemic situation. It intends to contribute governments to overcome the lack of resources and capacity in economic upliftment of its citizen as well as capacitate them for effective preparedness and recovery plan to overcome the COVID-19 negative impacts. The proposed project is majorly focused on Economic Recovery action of Australia’s Partnerships for Recovery: COVID 19 Development Response Plan contributing to women’s economic empowerment and gender equality. The project also contributes to Stability action of the Plan

Interested and eligible organizations and individual are requested to apply for the call. The Financial and Technical proposal should be submitted to or drop Sealed hard copy at ADRA Nepal Country Office located at Sanepa, Lalitpur, P.O. Box 4481 until 31st April 2022.
