Consultant for The Development of a Website-Based Game software

The Strategic Partnership Right Here, Right Now addresses the limited respect, protection and the hindered fulfilment of the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of young people in 10 countries in Africa and Asia.

The RHRN platform in Nepal consists of 3 civil society organizations, including a host organization, YUWA, which hosts the RHRN platform secretariat. The work of the organizations are focused on improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of young people in Nepal.

Established in 2009, YUWA is a not for profit, youth run, and youth led organization working to promote youth participation through empowerment and advocacy.

Overview of the work

YUWA is seeking a consultant, or a team of consultant develop a website-based game software. The minimum required specifications of the game software are as follows:

  • The game itself will be a live trivia game with real time points based on the fastest and correct answers.
  • A total of 5-10 players should be able to play the game at one time
  • The game should be a website based game, where the user can pre-register but will not have to otherwise download any specific apps or other sources.
  • Easy to use back end (to add questions and answers) and user interface
  • Each question will have 4 options for answers and 45- seconds limit
  • Scoreboard after each question to see the rank of the participants.
  • Winner announcement at the end of the game. 

Line-up of the events for the game

  1. YUWA will open call for participants for a live trivia-based game in its social media.
  2. Participants are directed towards a registration form for the game with basic information (name, age, province, gender, email, etc)
  3. The participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis; where 10 participants will be selected and sent an automatic email and calendar invite for the game.
  4. During game day, YUWA will launch the game after the participants have joined
  5. Display of a set of rules before game start.
  6. Timer before the launch of the game
  7. Questions are displayed one at a time with options
  8. After each question, the rank of the participants is shown
  9. The game will have 10-15 questions
  10. The winner will be announced at the end of the game
  11. There should be an option to share the winner announcement directly in social media for the host


  • Background in game design, computer science, or technical art
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled troubleshooter
  • An understanding of the software development life cycle and how testing applies
  • Someone who is user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative. 
  • Experience with UX design
  • Experience in website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.

Interested individual/firm must submit the following documents/information to demonstrate their qualifications at by 6th June 2022.

1.  Letter of Interest (Cover Letter) 

2. CV/Resume of the consultant/ team

3. Technical proposal including the above mentioned details and any other additional chargers required eg: server fees, hosting, etc.

4.  Sample of one or two previous consultancy of similar nature

5. VAT/PAN registration and tax clearance documents (if applying through a organization/institution)

6. Financial Proposal
