Job Description

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is an international NGO that supports the building of democratic societies around the world. Since 2006, IFES Nepal has worked with the Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) and local civil society partners to enhance citizen participation and strengthen civil society, governance and transparency.

IFES Nepal is seeking consultants to serve as Trainer/Facilitator to lead trainings, workshops and other events for various stakeholders. This position is under the supervision of the Country Director and will be based in Kathmandu.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Learn the provided curriculum and prepare to facilitate training sessions;
  • Liaise with IFES Nepal staff on session content for trainings and workshops;
  • When necessary, collaborate with a co-facilitator to conduct training sessions, workshops and other events; and
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions, including online trainings if necessary.

Required Qualification & Experience

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, education, political science or another relevant field;
  • At least two years of professional experience, including experience in training and facilitation;
  • Experience working with organizations working on democracy and governance programs preferred;
  • Strong organization and public speaking skills; and
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in Nepal, verbally and in writing, English fluency preferred.
