Job Description

FHI 360 has been working in Nepal since 1993 in the areas of HIV/AIDS, family planning/reproductive health, nutrition, antimicrobial resistance, environment, capacity building, civil society and media strengthening, and governance reform. FHI 360’s work is grounded in evidence and aligns with and provides support to the Government of Nepal’s development priorities and plans. FHI 360 requests applications from the interested and qualified individuals for  short-term assignments as follows:

1)  Business/Proposal Design, Planning and Development Coordinator (re-advertisement and those who have already applied need not re-apply)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Have proven experience in growing businesses, or supporting the growth of businesses, operating in the development market, including within a competitive landscape.
• Strategic thinker, well experienced in developing strategic plans.
• Extremely well networked in international development in Nepal, across multiple sectors.
• Has in-depth knowledge and experience of funder procurement processes and procedures.
• Has relationships with international non-government organizations and funding agencies in Nepal.

2)  Data Entry Officer (5 Positions)

The Data Entry Officer will work closely with the health office of Achham, Bajhang, Dailekh, Humla and Salyan districts and palikas to support recording and reporting of COVID-19 vaccination activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the respective health offices to identify the palikas for COVID-19 vaccination data entry.
• On-site vaccination data entry in those palikas as per the directive from the health office.
• Compilation of the vaccination data records and providing them to the concerned in a timely manner.
• Review COVID-19 vaccination data for errors or missing information and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare the report as per need basis in health offices of districts.
• Submit a timesheet and report daily/weekly/monthly.
• Additional tasks as required and requested by technical monitor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Proficient computer skills well versed with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge and skills on DHIS-2 preferable.
• Willingness to travel to palikas frequently.

3)   COVID-19 Vaccination Demand Generation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement targeted campaign to increase vaccine demand, confidence, and uptake.
• Develop/adapt, pre-test, and disseminate targeted communications materials for demand generation, building confidence and busting myths and hesitancy on COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Develop sensitization package for COVID-19 vaccine demand generation.
• Develop communication materials for proper communication and advocacy to utilize COVID-19 vaccination among hesitant group.
• Prepare orientation package to increase vaccine demand generation, address vaccine mis- and disinformation, and vaccine hesitancy.
• Support sensitizing and mobilize local influences for demand generation and building vaccine confidence by addressing vaccine hesitancy, concerns and mis-/dis-information.

Qualifications:

• Master in public health, social science, or other relevant subjects.
• Previous work experience in social and behavioral change communications; and with government /NGOs/INGOs preferably in public health, and documentation
• Prior experience on preparing communication materials including advocacy to utilize COVID-19 vaccination among hesitant group, will be provided priority

4)  Capacity Building Specialist 

The Capacity Building Specialist will be responsible for conducting readiness review and developing capacity building plans for implementing partners, further identifying their capacity needs and providing them overall technical assistance for improvement and system strengthening.

The consultant will work with local implementing partners in coordination with EpiC Nepal team at field and country office.

Qualification:

• Master’s degree in management, public health or related field
• Five (5) years of experience providing capacity-building support through training, consultations, and other mechanisms to NGOs  with varying levels of organizational capacity.  Candidate with experience of conducting capacity assessment of one or more organization in the past will be given preference.
