Job Description

International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a non-Government Organization that was established in 1952 and serving poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life in its fullness through health and development service. In Nepal, INF Nepal is now providing health and community development services in the provinces of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

For the following position, INF Nepal Central Office and Shining Hospital Surkhet (SHIS) is seeking competent, skilled, service-oriented, and devoted Nepali citizen who share our vision, missions, and values.

1. Position: Project Officer            Required Number: 1            Location: Surkhet

Purpose of the Job:

The post holder is the lead person responsible for timely implementation of the Access and Inclusion Project and ensures the highest performance of work, desired results and impact of the project. S/he is also responsible for maintaining a good relationship with relevant government and non-government stakeholders for sustainability of the project.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and knowledge:

• Must have a bachelor’s in public health or equivalent in relevant field. Bachelors in physiotherapy registered in Nepal Health Professional Council is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in disability and inclusion related projects.
• A working understanding of the rights and national rules of the disabled will be an advantage. Good understanding of the project management cycle.
• Proven ability in leading team leadership.
• Computer competencies and general knowledge of Word, Excel, Email, Internet and Social Media. Demonstrated ability to train and build the capacity of others.
• Good communication skills (spoken and written) in both English and Nepali.
• Ability to work effectively in crisis situations and readiness to travel frequently in the working municipalities.
• Supportive of INF Nepal mission and vision and so able to be a role model through genuinely supporting and actively demonstrating INF Nepal Values both in work setting and in other visible relationships.

2. Position: Physiotherapist            Required Number: 1            Location: Surkhet

Purpose of the Job:

The post holder is responsible to provide quality physiotherapy services to people with disabilities in the working areas of the project. In collaboration with the occupational therapist s/he will be responsible for assessment of therapeutic need and managing an appropriate rehab programme and follow up as well as for mobility and other assistive devices and supervision of the implementation and safe, appropriate use of such. Assessing the home environment against patient’s functional ability and recommending necessary home modifications and then assessing suitability once such work has been completed The post holder will be responsible for up to date recording of all interventions and for reporting of the rehabilitation work of the project.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with registration in Nepal Health Professional Council.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience with differently able people and community work.
• Personal initiative and good time management skills.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others.
• Computer competencies and general knowledge of word, excel, email, and social media
• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in written and spoken English/Nepali.
• Willing and able to travel extensively to all assigned project areas.
• Able to ensure and demonstrate INF Values in ones work and in the diverse areas and localities of work

3. Position: Liaison and Public Relation Lead            Required Number: 1            Location: Central Office, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:

The post holder will lead liaison, public relations, and estate management of INF Nepal in planning and maintaining good liaison and public relations within and outside INF Nepal. He/She should ensure efficient internal and external liaison, public relations and estate management and effective use of available resources, in all offices of INF Nepal in coordination with concerned Directors.

Required Qualifications, Skills and knowledge:

• Must have bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent in relative field.
• Good understanding and knowledge of NGO operation, government rules and regulations and estate management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in liaison and public relations.
• Experience in dealing with high level Government officials will be an advantage.
• Good Marketing, Interpersonal, Liaison, Conflict/Disputes Management, Listening and Coordination skill.
• Innovative, creative in business development and able to work with minimum supervision. Computer knowledge- Ms Word/ Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing and able to travel to remote parts of Nepal.
• Able to ensure and demonstrate INF Values in ones work and in the diverse areas and localities of work.
