LEARN is an NGO working in the field of education focusing in supporting to community schools through the teachers’ professional capacity building, Parents, students and educational associated programs to uplift the quality of education in the rural areas. Currently, it is working in 70 schools from two rural municipalities in Myagdi district. It implements the project with the financial support from Quality Education Nepal, Australia. It conducts the programs in coordination with Nepal government bodies like; Social Welfare Council, CEHRD, EDCU, Rural Municipalities and Schools.

1. Program Manager

Key Responsibilities

Develop an annual project plan, implementation methodology, and monitor the project activities to ensure that they are being implemented.
Build sound relationships and coordinate with government education bodies in central, district and local level and other stakeholders in order to implement the activities to achieve organizational objectives.
Play a key role in delivering the effective training to the subject teachers, SMC/PTA members, lead teachers, head teachers.
Develop appropriate proposals and prepare regular progress reports, presentation of the completion programs.
Lead the overall project management.
Prepare teaching learning training manual
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

2. Education Development Officer

Key Responsibilities

Perform training need assessment to identify the weakness and strength of teachers in teaching learning activities
Develop training module/manual and materials to address the need and expectation of the target group
Facilitate and deliver the training activities
Prepare substantial progress reports, track all the training related data.
Evaluate periodically to ensure that the activities are in place.
Assist Program Manager in project implementation
Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director

Required Qualification & Experience

Qualification and skills for both the positions

Master’s Degree or equivalent
Experience of minimum of 5 years for Program Manager and 4 years for Education Development Officer in similar position of educational projects
Strong leadership, effective communication and time management
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Ability to work in difficult geographical topography and socio-cultural community in Myagdi
