The organization is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic candidates for the post of Finance Coordinator and Finance officer. Following are the details.

S.N. Post Qualification Experience and responsibilities
1 Finance Coordinator -1 Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree, Priority to Master’s degree in a related field, and working experience in the development sector (NGOs/INGOs) Minimum 5 years working experience with a Master’s degree holder and 7 years working experience with a bachelor’s degree holder in the Planning process, Budget planning, management, financial monitoring, financial report writing, logistic management, and procurement management from both organizational and project viewpoint and able to establish coordination with funding partners, government and non-government stakeholders. Candidate must have good knowledge of writing and speaking English and computer skill for office management.
2 Finance Officer-1 Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree, Priority to Master’s degree  in a related field, and working experience in the development sector (NGOs/INGOs) Minimum 3 years working experience with Master’s degree and 5 years working experience with bachelor’s degree. The experience must be in the Project Planning process, project Budget planning, management, project financial monitoring, project financial report writing, project logistic management,  procurement management, and the ability to establish coordination with funding partners, and government and non-government stakeholders. Candidate must have good knowledge of writing and speaking English and computer skill for office management.

Remuneration: Negotiable

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Financial Implementation:

In coordination with supporting financial staff and programme personnel, the FMM will;

  • Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
  • Improve finance control system by revisiting the existing systems.
  • Monitor financial transactions, budget vs expenditure patterns owned overall project and ensure timely reporting to concerns with free of error.
  • Monitor Project wise financial activities ensuring expenditure incurred under the right heading and in line with the expected outcome.
  • Communicate with development partners with regard to needing for a budget, reporting timetable, responding to feedback and so on
  • Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
  • Visit project sites and audit internally to support finance staff for meeting the donor compliance requirement, meeting the timeline etc.
  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Support supervisor, the programme/team to preparing an overall project budget, revamp of existing budget and so on.
  • Taking into consideration the  frequently changed in annual income of staff, calculate and periodically update income and other taxes of staff and ensure their timely deposition
  • Coordination and time-to-time communication with bankers
  • Capacitate Finance and Admin Coordinators/officers over finance keeping, report preparation, tax calculation etc.
  • Ensure GAN finance and procurement policies and procedures are adhered to by project and office staff.
  • Review the project expenditure and necessary tranche request and ensure variances are communicated with partners and obtained necessary approval in advance.
  • Develop/revise the annual/periodical budget of project unit activities.
  • Monitoring project financial forecast, plan and make sure it is performed at the project site as planned warn them if required to avoid unborn issues.
  • Ensure Partners or project  unit offices are making spending in line with the GAN agreed-on budget and values
  • Ensure the partner NGO/project unit is updated with the approved budget and relevant documents.
  • Work towards developing a financially sustainable organization.

2. Administration and Management

  • Prepare MOU with/for various stakeholders including the government, draft and exchange letters to concerned institutions as necessary, and prepare reference letters for staff.
  • Ensure all store inventory, fixed assets have been maintained properly.
  • Ensure the procurement process has been followed as per the organization’s policy guidelines with meeting donor compliance.
  • Maintain the Individual staff folder with all details.
  • Manage office by creating a learning and working environment and maintaining effective office logistics as per the need of the organization.
  • Monitor office vehicles movement, keep it in condition, renew on time etc.
  • Ensure timely purchase of staff/ equipment/ office insurance renews the policy on time.

3. Human Resource Development and Management:

  • Develop contracts for new staff, Keep track of Staff contract and probation period expiry time and take action for timely renewal by keeping track of and expiry date.
  • Monitor the performance of subordinate staff and give feedback as necessary.
  • Intensively get involved in staff recruitment for mainstream staff, Preparation of JD for, drafting vacancies, and conducting interviews when requires.
  • Manage finance staff through performance development, monthly meetings/updates, monitoring work, scheduling work plans and review.
  • Carry out biannual performance management review for finance staff directly reporting to you.
  • Ensuring staff are getting support to achieve their performance management through training, regular support and other monitoring
  • Capacitate PNGO, finance staff and project team with relevant skills in financial  management
  • Maintain staff attendance/ leave records up to date.

4. Other

  • Give inputs to programme for Proposal, report writing as sought for
  • Seldom Act as interim head of the organisation and facilitate organisation’s overall activities, staff involvement/mobilization etc.
  • Support Facilitate day-to-day admin, and programme issues as sought by programme and admin colleagues
  • Other duties as required.
  • You may occasional or will require working on weekends and/or public holidays.
