Job Description

Quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Youths (QualiTY)”, Phase 1 project is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training at the Federal level and Ministry of Social Development / Education at the Province level. Swisscontact Nepal provides technical assistance to the project through the Project Support Unit (PSU) at Federal and Provincial level on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

Swisscontact is an International Non-Government Organization (INGO) that implements international development projects in Nepal since 1991. Swisscontact invites applications from the committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions.

Position: Technical Coordinator (Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation and Capacity Building) – 3 persons (Each at Province 1, Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field (Education/TVET/Workforce education/Management/Business Studies/ Development Studies).
  • Minimum of five years of work experience (including at least two years of coordination role among the government, private sector entities) in relevant field (i.e., development cooperation and/or, TVET sector programs).
  • Knowledge and work experience of TVET school/TVET program management/quality management system would be an advantage.

Position: Technical Officer- 6 persons (2 each at Province 1, Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in relevant field (Education/Management/Business Studies/Development Studies).
  • Minimum of two years of work experience (including at least one year of experience in project implementation and/or monitoring particularly in TVET programs/projects) in relevant field (i.e., development cooperation and/or TVET sector programs).

Position: Finance and Admin Officer, PSU Office, Federal – 1 person (At Bhaktapur)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant field – Accounting/Financial Management or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in Accounting or Finance in development cooperation with donor agencies or NGO/INGOs.

Position: Finance and Admin Officer, Provincial – 2 persons (Each at Province 1 and Lumbini Province)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant field – Accounting/Financial Management or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in Accounting or Finance.

Position: Administrative Assistant cum Receptionist – 1 person (At Bhaktapur)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – commerce, management, business administration or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in a similar position.

Position: Driver – 2 persons (At Bhaktapur)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • At least appeared in Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or School Leaving Certificate (SLC).
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in similar position.

Position: Office Assistant – 1 person (At Bhaktapur)

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • At least appeared in Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or School Leaving Certificate (SLC).
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in similar works.
