UN Volunteer
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Board.
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Head of RCO and the Sustainable Peace and Development Advisor, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

Selection process Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The selection will be done by the UN Host Entity at the level of the country of assignment. Interviews will be conducted by the UN Host Entity between 19 August and 17 September. Usually these interviews are competency-based. COVID-19: In case of travel restrictions, assignments may start remotely or start dates may be postponed.

Educational additional comments
Advanced higher degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant area, e.g. social or political sciences, international relations, development studies, economics, public administration; a first-level university degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree;
