The Job

NAXA is looking for a highly creative, and experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team for the development and upgrade of the web platform. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work full time with a fast-paced team on a web and mobile based application where we are creating the most detailed map of the planet, using crowd sourced drone data, to protect at-risk ecosystems.

Required Qualification & Experience

• Education Level: Bachelors in Computer Science, or relevant field.

• Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in manual as well as automated testing (automation experience is a must)
• Salary: Based on Experience

Required Technical Skills

1. Hands on experience on automated testing.
2. Experience defining and executing test cases for web applications.
3. Empathy for client use with experience examining testing from the cloud.
4. Able to execute automated functional, performance, and stress tests
5. Knowledge and experience in developing project plans, estimating work, and tracking progress against deadlines as well as regular reporting of the progress.
6. Experience executing all product testing components, including functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, and load testing.
7. Experience working with international clients will be a plus.

1. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities for this Role

1. Identify the risks and appropriate test coverage to validate new features as well as regression, and develop test plans and cases.
2. Come up with more efficient ways to test features ( manual testing, functional testing, unit testing, stress testing etc.) and identify the area of testing that can be automated.
3. Design, create and execute automation scripts.
4. Develop and follow quality assurance standards and company processes.
5. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, deliver software demonstrations to the client and prepare user manuals.
6. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, plan, assign, prioritize and ensure completion of tasks with quality.
7. Understand the business aspects, as well as the ways the customers are using the system; and check if the system is performing as it should have been
8. Create reports documenting errors and issues for fixing  and create final test documents after completion and before handover of projects.
9. Document every activity involved in the quality assurance process according to company standards.
10. Making use of user story, wire-frames design documents for functional GUI testing purpose
11. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well- structured test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
12. Take an active role to support the Project Manager in developing project plans, estimating work, and tracking progress against deadlines as well as regular reporting of the progress to the Project Manager and client.
13. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, deliver software demonstrations to the client and prepare user manuals.

14. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, plan, assign, prioritize and ensure completion of tasks with quality.
