Job Description

POSITION: Psychosocial Counsellor (Open to Female candidates only)

PURPOSE: Purpose of this position is to fulfill the psychosocial services requirement of the Shelter Home (Sindhuli).

TERM & LOCATION: Long Term position based in Sindhuli for Shelter Home

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:  Full Time – Contractual, 6 days a week

DUTY STATION: Kamlamai Municipality, Sindhuli

SALARY: As per organization policy


  • Case assessment with proper documents(assessment forms, case plan formetc)
  • Prepare full Case plan of each residents
  • All steps prescribed in Case Management Protocol of Apeiron with proper documents
  • Timely, consistent and quality reports
  • Internalize/Embody(role model) survival centered approach while managing case
  • Follow up with cases
  • Conduct right based awareness, life skills sessions
  • Maintain complete individual case files.

Required Qualification & Experience


  • Bachelors with minimum 2 years’ experience in social work including psycho-social counselling training/course
  • Minimum of two years’ direct experience of direct service provision to GBV survivors (highly preferred)
  • Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience providing written reports and documentation of project activities
  • Must have good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be able to address emergency services as and when required
  • Must have good moral and ethical background
