The Project Director, with guidance and support from Country Director, will be responsible for leading, planning, implementation, and monitoring of the programme to strengthen Nepal’s AMR/AMU surveillance programme. This will include oversight of capacity strengthening activities; identifying gaps in AMR capacity; and improving policies, strategies, plans and systems for AMR/AMU containment. S/he will be responsible for leading team members/technical specialists, and for coordinating and collaborating with government counterparts, the AMR Containment Multisectoral Steering Committee (AMRMSC), National Technical Working Committee (NTWC), stakeholders, and donors to bring innovative ideas, methodologies and approaches to problems and responses associated with AMR in the global and national setting. The position is based out of Kathmandu (Nepal) and reports to the Country Director, Nepal.
