The Organic Valley Private Limited (hereafter referred as ‘TOV’) was established in 2011 with aim of making significant difference in the field of organic argo-production and trading. Its corporate office lies in Bakhundole, Lalitpur. TOV is a pioneer in promoting Organic Agriculture and food practices in Nepal. It has been the first of its kind to Trade Organic Products from Nepal to various countries in the World. TOV is involved in various projects as well as retail market since its inception. It has been continuously striving to obtain market in national and international arena for organic products.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

Project Coordinator – Horticulturist

Job Station: Kathmandu/Surkhet

  • Provide advanced operational and technical (agriculture) support to projects and management teams.
  • Develop and maintain project management schedules, project work plans, and other general project management resources.
  • Provide technical support on kitchen garden development and crop diversification possibilities as per the project intervention area requirement
  • Provide general project management reporting to project management teams.
  • Collaborate with Project Management team to identify and manage risks.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to projects as defined by the Program Manager.
  • Perform business and proposal development needs as assigned.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) in English and Nepali language.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill with MS Office Suit.

Required Qualification & Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organization, communication and coordination skills
  • Excellent skill of Documentation and Reporting to concerned department
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Able to accomplish quality work with strict deadlines
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of the Company.
  • two-wheeler license preferred

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (Horticulture). (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of program management experience in agricultural sector.
  • Good communications and relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners, and other stakeholders is required.
  • Good experience and ability to deliver training and facilitate a workshop with various stakeholders
  • Field visits 80% to company’s intervention areas.

Salary: Negotiable as per competence and experience.
