Rural Health and Education Service Trust (RHEST)

Vacancy Announcement

RHEST is dedicated to ending all forms of violence against women, including human trafficking, child marriage, and child labor. Currently, RHEST is supporting the formal education of more than 12,500 vulnerable girls in the rural communities in 18 districts of Nepal. Women and girls’ empowerment and reproductive health are other focused areas of RHEST’s programs.

RHEST is looking for qualified Nepali candidates for the position of Nepali Editor (Part time).

Duration of Assignment: One year with possible extension

Duty Station: Home-based (10 -12 hours per month)

Required Qualification & Experience


  • Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in journalism and/or communication, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Professional experience in report writing in various thematic areas.
  • Good knowledge of and demonstrated commitments to ending Gender based violence (GBV) in particular, child marriage and human trafficking.
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Nepali. Good knowledge in English will be an asset.
