Overview:

Labour will work under the BGK (British Gurkhas Kathmandu) QM (Quarter Master)’s dept and will be responsible for cleanliness, unloading, loading freight/ goods.  He/she should possess the right training, skills, and experience in loading, carrying goods safely. QM department is to provide manpower services to ensure that BGK can carry out its core functions in support of its mission and operations up to the British Standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleanliness of BGK Camp areas, offices, and ablutions.
  • Support British Gurkhas Kathmandu and its departments on various tasks and during March In/Out preparation tasks.
  • Provide support for load and unload the ISO container and Trucks.
  • Support G4 to tidy up the Contingency store/ORP store and assist during contingency exercise.
  • Delivery of tankard water to hirings daily as per the daily roster.
  • Carryout any other duties as directed by the QM Soft Facility Manager (Line manager).

Required Qualification & Experience

Success Profile:

The ideal candidate will have to enjoy working collaboratively with staff at all levels. They will also have good communication skills in English and should possess knowledge of Health and Safety at work, manual Handling, fire & safety awareness. Candidate should be physically fit to undertake arduous work. Literate candidate with IT knowledge is preferable.

Eligibility:

  • Internal candidates: SZ1 for level transfer.
  • External candidates: Nepali Citizen between 18 to 58 years meeting the above requirements.

Benefits & Working Environment:

  • Salary 38,368.00 NPR per month, weekly working hours – 40hrs (Full Time, Permanent).
  • Gratuity after completing 3 years’ service.
  • Dashain Bonus & Retirement Funds (EPF & CIT).
  • Annual leave 25 days and public holidays 10 days.
  • 100% reimbursement of Medical expenses for Job Holder and limited reimbursement for immediate dependents.
