IT Officer

Applicable for Nepali Nationals only

Level: D

Duration: Fixed term contract until March 31, 2024

Location: Kathmandu

The Role

To provide general technical advice and/or technical administrative support in order to deliver and maintain the information systems and service technology necessary to further Oxfam’s objectives as per agreed Oxfam’s Global IS business strategies and policies. To ensure that Oxfam in Nepal has quality IT support and management in place with the high level of technical capacity to support the Nepal country program. In case of humanitarian emergencies, to ensure scale up and to respond rapidly to support manage the humanitarian emergencies and development requirements and ready to respond to major humanitarian programme.

What we are looking for

This is a position that is in a matrix relationship with IT services in OI and OGB and that requires collaboration and business partnering with all managers and their reports in the country team.

Required Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Minimum 4 years of experiences in field of Information Technology
  • Experience working with Oxfam GB technology sets: PC Image, Server operating system, Lotus Notes, MS Office 365, PeopleSoft, Messaging & Groupware, International Support, Cloud based technologies, Microsoft Windows software / hardware environment, wide area communication between Oxfam offices world-wide using TCP/IP transmission protocol, telephony, Virtual Private Network.
  • Certification in ITIL
  • Basic Training Skills
  • Certification or Qualification in Customer Management processes.
  • Demonstrates understanding of applying gender and diversity issues, and proven commitment to addressing inequalities in all the key areas of responsibility.
