Job Description

Organization and Project Background:

Human Practice Foundation (HPF), Nepal is implementing an education project in Taplejung, Nepal. The main purpose of this project is to increase both academic, life skills, interpersonal as well as IT skills of the school’s students. This is a school-based intervention model viewing the student with holistic approach with acknowledgements thereby facilitating the development of student’s cognitive, emotional, physical, social and spiritual needs. Within the IT skills, HPF is supporting one of the local secondary schools in Phungling to provide specific IT skills such as web development, graphic designing and digital marketing to the youths or grade 12 students in order to create local employment in Taplejung district. In due course, HPF invites application from highly motivated, skilled, dynamic and result oriented Nepali Citizen of the following posts to be based in our Project Office, Taplejung.

1. Position: IT Coordinator

2. Required Number: 1

3. Duty Station: Phungling, Taplejung with more hands on support on the school site.

Required Qualification & Experience

4. Qualification and experience:

Master degree in IT with 5 years of experience. Sound knowledge and experience in the IT equipment, tools, repairing technical IT issues, networking and wireless technologies with intranet and internet server base.
Prior experience on web development, graphic design, digital marketing will be an added value.

5. Specific Roles to be performed:

Work with HPF Consultants to train self and to impart specific packages on web development, graphic design and digital marketing.
Facilitate assigned teacher and mentors to provide training to school students in the area of web development, graphic design and digital marketing.
Facilitate the trainee selection process across the district.
Ensure quality of IT trainings as per the set standard.
Work as a ‘Focal Person’ between the IT School and HPF.
Marketing of IT product and services.
Reporting of the ongoing progress to the HPF Country Manager.
Knowledge and experience in international freelancing will added advantages.
