Job Description

FWEAN is seeking a highly motivated Finance Coordinator to serve under the direction of its Board. The Finance Coordinator is expected to timely accomplish all financial aspects related to the organization, including core activities as well as some projects at FWEAN. S/he will be responsible for handling daily finances and bookkeeping; doing monthly payroll, payments, receipts of programs and adjustments needed; handling banking and tax matters; processing invoices and following up; and planning and implementing budgets for events and projects; and preparing and timely submitting all related financial reports and documents. This position will report to the Executive Director, and work closely with the Project Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Forecasting and budget management: create annual forecasting and budget management for the organization as well as projects; ensure internal and external formats are followed
  • Financial accounting and administration: manage full life-cycle of payment processing, ensure proper record-keeping, maintain monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and confidentiality of data
  • Financial reporting: create and present monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Board
  • Financial procedures, audit and tax compliance: ensure that all necessary procedures are followed; coordinate with auditors and other relevant personnel regularly; ensure tax exemption and other benefits are utilized
  • HR & payroll administration: manage the procedures, payments and documentations for staff and consultants.

Required Qualification & Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting/financial management at NGOs or similar entities
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant discipline
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and regulations
  • Outstanding analytical, numerical and time management skills
  • Experience using financial software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-initiator, with commitment to correct processes
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
