Job Description

  • Represent buildOn mission objectives in the community, conforming to all policies and practices as prescribed in the methodology
  • Oversee all district in which buildOn has OOSC Programs underway
  • Seek out and maintain strategic partnerships with NGOs, government ministries and other interested parties interested in working with buildOn communities
  • Assist in selection of future project sites and help organize community contribution
  • Conduct baseline and follow-up surveys to measure community characteristics prior to buildOn projects
  • Visit buildOn schools regularly to compile community profiles
  • Document improvements in methodologies related manuals
  • Collect and translate stories/key documents from Nepali to English and English to Nepali
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Education Manager or Country Director

Required Qualification & Experience

Education Level : Bachelor
Experience Required : More than or equals to 2 years
Professional Skill Required : Leadership Decision Making Communication Organizational Time Management

Other Specification

  • Graduated in Education from a recognized university
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in related field
  • Willing to make frequent field visits (90%) in rural villages
  • Self-motivated and committed to educating the people of Nepal
  • Previous trainings in community development
  • Previous community development work with NGO’s in the Terai
  • Previous experience in handling funds and working with budgets: preferably for a registered NGO
  • Fully fluent in verbal and written English and basic Microsoft word, excel skill, PowerPoint, email etc.
  • Bike driving skill with driving license
