AAIN is seeking competent, committed and result-oriented candidates for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) & Humanitarian Specialist [Grade 7- Manager/Specialist category] position. S/he is responsible to conceptualise, plan and manage initiatives to promote resilience against disasters; and ensure humanitarian response in case of any emergency to contribute to the overall organisational mission to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication in line with AAIN’s Strategy 2023.

equality and poverty eradication in line with AAIN’s Strategy 2023.
As an extended management team (EMT) member, this position is also
responsible to lead or contribute to the following institutional priorities as per
the requirements of AAIN:
• Human right based approach (HRBA)
• ActionAid’s Humanitarian Signature
• Feminist Leadership
• Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (SHEA) & Safeguarding
(including Child Safeguarding)
• Behavioural change approach (BCA)
• Safety and Security
Organizational Representation
• This position represents AAIN in DRR and Humanitarian related works at the
national and international level
• This position acts as focal person for AAIN to ensure that DRR and
Humanitarian works related guidelines, policy and systems are effectively
developed, implemented and understood by all staff
Strategy development
• This position leads and directs the work of AAIN in accordance with sound
management practices and ActionAid’s development policies and
accountability systems
Organizational systems
• This position is responsible to adhere/ comply with approved organisational
policies and procedures
• This position implements all necessary policies and procedures to ensure
that correct procedures are followed by staff under supervision
Budgeting and planning
• Lead the Annual Planning and Budgeting (APB) process for thematic works
and the DRR and Humanitarian related projects and ensure and control of
expenditure under the defined responsibility domain.
