Vacancy Announcement for Consultancy Services

FHI 360, an international NGO, requests applications from qualified individuals for various short-term and long-term consultancies on public policy advocacy, civic space promotion, inclusive governance, knowledge products development, and human rights advocacy.


The consultants will work with FHI 360’s Civil Society: Mutual Accountability Project (CS:MAP), which works to foster an accountable, legitimate, and resilient Nepali civil society that is capable of advancing the public interest. She/he will support CS:MAP’s technical team and partners to carry out activities in one of the following six areas.

Human Rights Based Advocacy and Oversight Support
  • Design and deliver activities on human rights-based advocacy and oversight strategy at the cluster level.
  • Conduct needs assessment on the data management system for OPMCM.
  • Develop and test human rights training module with a sub- national focus.
  • Produce digital platforms modules of human rights training modules.
Policy Analysis and Participatory Policy Process  Advocacy
  • Produce  and  disseminate  policy  resources  for  municipal governments.
  • Develop reference materials on public practices for academic institutions.
  • Provide technical support to strengthen legislative processes in coordination with the stakeholders.
Promotion of Civic Space andCivic Engagement and Governance Support
  • Produce training manual on civic engagement promotion for ministry and government training academy.
  • Design, deliver, and coordinate programs on awareness-raising of Open Government Partnership principles among Government and CSOs.
  • Engage and mentor the interns to support governance & advocacy at the local level.
Communication and Graphic Design
  • Layout design of the CS:MAP knowledge products (flyers, resource books, pamphlets, booklets).
  • Produce soft copies of project campaign materials and other knowledge products.
GESI Audit and Capacity Building Support
  • Conduct GESI audit of CS:MAP sub-national partners and recommendations about CSO capacity enhancement.
  • Follow-up activities planned on GESI audit results.
  • Design and deliver systems leadership and advocacy training events.
CSO, Media and Academia Collaboration
  • Assessment of university courses and support to integrate media and civil society content.
  • Support to integrate CS:MAP resource products in government training academies and academic institutions.
  • Promote collaboration between university students, local governments, and civil society for human rights promotion.
  • Design and conduct a non-academic short-term course on the public policy process, advocacy, leadership, and governance.

Required Qualification & Experience

Master’s degree in a relevant field, with at least four years of experience in similar work.

In addition to the qualifications mentioned, prospective candidates in all categories should have the ability to perform multiple tasks and to work under pressure.
