Job Description

URJAA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in April 2005 A.D. It prepares and empowers young people in Nepal to be at the forefront of change through youth-led development. URJAA has led projects in WASH, Education, Livelihoods, and Sexual and Reproductive Health. URJAA is the partner organization for the implementation of the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (NOREC) of Restless Development, Nepal.

The global citizenship toolkit introduced various facets and meanings of global situations and various requirements of the global citizenry. It then raises awareness about the global commitments (SDGs) of the world community. These global commitments focus on poverty and Inequality, Health and well-being, and Economic and prosperity as these are the major challenges, especially in the developing parts of the world. The toolkit has been created to help young people design and deliver the sessions on Global Citizenship under the “Youth Take The Lead” project of URJAA. The intent of the toolkit is to prepare a pool of young people who are vocal about the global phenomenon and understand the need to act at the local level to effect changes at the global level.

The objective of the training

  1. To strengthen the capacity of volunteers on Global Citizenship who will further cascade the learnings in the schools and communities.

Purpose of the Consultancy

  • Hold a meeting with URJAA team for the preparation of ToT and orientation.
  • Deliver in-person 5 days TOT (Probable dates; 15th-19th August 2022) to volunteers on the overall developed modules of Global Citizenship Toolkit.
  • Involve in daily review and give constructive feedback to the participants.
  • Deliver one day virtual session to the Youth Take the Lead, volunteers of Tanzania, and Zambia.

Consultancy fees and logistic 

  1. URJAA is offering a consultancy fee of NPR 40,000 inclusive of tax based on Nepal Government’s tax policy
  2. The consultant shall share the final report within five days after completion of the training and orientation. Payment will be made after submission of final report.
  3. The consultant has to follow the administrative and financial procedures of URJAA.

Required Qualification & Experience

Essential

  1. Prior experience of facilitation and delivering training on manual, toolkit
  2. Demonstrate relevant facilitation skills
  3. Must have knowledge on Global Citizenship.
  4. Prior experience of working with young people.
  5. Updated CV and PAN card of the facilitator.
  6. All legal documents of consultancy/agency.
