Job Description


Possible, a non-governmental organization registered in Nepal, is seeking a Community Health Research Manager to lead our implementation research collaborations and the technical support of the development, roll out and evaluations of community health programs to our partners. The Community Health Research Manager will be working closely with Possible team and advisors, and implementing/research partners in the field therefore they should see themselves as an advocate for Possible’s mission, vision and values at all times.

Reports to: Executive Director

Direct Reports: None

Works closely with: Possible team, advisors, and partners

Location: Kathmandu with 30-50% travel to the partner sites

Big three key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical support of the development, rollout, and evaluation of community health program at partner sites
  • Lead the roll out of implementation research related to community health Intervention
  • Support in building Possible’s workplace culture and strategic partnership, and generating additional resources to advance research and innovation

Required Qualification & Experience

Must Haves:

  • Commitment to Possible’s Values, Mission & Vision
  • A strong understanding of community health program and program evaluation with focus on continuum of care throughout the life cycle of an individual.
  • An exposure to implementation science; a strong background on quantitative research and high level of analytical skills using software like STATA, R, SAS, etc
  • Strong motivation and flexibility to travel to urban, semi-urban, and remote areas in Nepal
  • Qualifications: Master’s in public health or equivalent; at least three years of relevant research experience; excellent command in written and spoken Nepali and English; Nepali Citizen based in Nepal.
