Job Description

1. Communications

To take lead on developing communications collateral and launching key publications both internally and externally. Similarly, implement and further develop CREASION communication plans and campaigns to support the existing projects, including both online and offline activities.

2. Media, social media and Digital

Working with program team to identify and develop strong media stories and other communications material. Furthermore, to manage the social media handles of CREASION which includes creating social media strategies, analyzing engagement data, and day-to-day handling of the Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and other Social Media handles.

3. Merchandise Coordination and Planning

In consultation and in close coordination with CREASION program staffs, initiate and develop merchandize like caps, t-shirts, jackets and other required materials. Likewise, work with suppliers (copywriters, designers and printers), develop briefs for communication products and monitor progress and delivery.

4. Website Management

To maintain the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, and develop, and update website content.

5. Content Writing

To take lead on developing reports, blogs, articles, newsletter and other required materials.
Draft and edit blogs, articles, newsletter and other advocacy/information materials
Collaborate with the media by organizing project site visits, facilitate photo coverage and TV footage and utilizing both web-based and traditional media as appropriate
Monitor and evaluate the use and effectiveness of media materials. Maintain a library of media coverage, clippings etc

6. Events/ Campaigns

To take lead in organizing special events and campaigns to promote strategic organization goals. Support organization on workshops, seminars, campaigns, events and project review meetings including agendas and meeting minutes.

7. Monitoring and evaluation

Monitor and evaluate impact of communication materials and advocacy events/campaigns to target audiences

Required Qualification & Experience

A university degree in communication, journalism, or other relevant field and at least 2 years work experience;
Excellent English and Nepali writing and language skills is required
Experience in working in communications
Microsoft Office, Photoshop and other graphic software skills
Knowledge of media relations, developing communication materials, writing content for different channels and developing social media campaigns/projects
Strong designing and social media skills
Experience in event management and production of printed materials, such as reports etc.
