UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA) requires an intern to provide assistance to Regional Adviser Child Protection to strengthen research and monitoring on child marriage with a particular focus on child grooms and the impact of COVID-19 on child marriage in the region. This will support the three CO’s which are part of the Global Programme to End Child Marriage, Bangladesh, India, and Nepal to better analyze the situation and to accelerate important child marriage initiatives.
The research on child grooms will support a total of 5 countries in the region and will lead to an improved understanding of the drivers and underlying social and economic factors that lead to child grooms as well as analysis of any impact COVID-19 may have on trends in the role of boys in child marriage.
